What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. This role will give you a sense of the types of projects you'll work on, though these may evolve over time. The Global Head of Advertising and Creative Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping Canva’s brand creative direction and ensuring the delivery of exceptional creative work across all media. You will oversee our in-house agency operations and manage external agency relationships. This role combines leadership in creative operations with advertising execution expertise, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of creative work across various channels including performance, brand advertising, content, social, and lifecycle marketing. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and working closely with the Executive Creative Director and Marketing Leadership team, this position requires deep expertise in creative strategy, operations, agency management, and advertising execution. Currently, this role focuses on: Providing strategic leadership for Canva’s advertising efforts, leading our award-winning in-house creative agency and external agency partners, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives. Overseeing daily operations of the creative agency, including budget management, staffing, and resource allocation, in collaboration with our ECD on creative direction. Collaborating with marketing leadership to integrate creative strategies into the broader business plan. Developing and implementing systems for global creative production and delivery across 14+ markets and various segments. Driving operational efficiency while maintaining creative excellence. Optimizing resource allocation and capacity planning across creative teams. Ensuring effective execution of creative strategies across all advertising initiatives. Maintaining consistent creative quality across channels and markets. Leading the selection and implementation of creative and advertising technology solutions. Managing the creative technology stack in partnership with our Head of Marketing Technology. Driving automation and efficiency through new technologies like AI and automation. Ensuring effective digital asset management and creative workflow systems. Building and leading high-performing creative operations teams. Developing clear roles and responsibilities within creative production teams. You're probably a match if you have: Extensive experience in creative operations and advertising. A proven track record managing in-house creative teams and external agencies. Strong background in creative production, budgeting, and project management. Experience in implementing and optimizing creative operations. History of building efficient creative delivery systems. Technical literacy and understanding of creative technologies.
